While Anthony had a strong vision for the story of Nemesys, including a fascinating connection to the character's past life in Pharonic Egypt, he wanted the story to be more dynamic than what he believed to be possible through his own work.  So his vision was to create an online portal where anybody could contribute a chapter to the ongoing saga of the Nemesys character – and where anybody could vote on the quality of each submitted chapter. He envisioned two separate story areas at the site: The first being the collection of submissions, organized by chapter, and the second being the official story, which would include the original chapter (“Origin of Nemesys”) plus the submissions that had earned the highest votes during each submission period.
 
So using the Joomla component known as K2, we created a site at which anybody can create a free user account and submit chapters and/or add comments to other chapters.  It also includes a voting mechanism (one to five stars), a social sharing tool (to quickly share a story at Facebook or other social networking sites), and an author biography (so that contributors can enjoy some credit for their work).
 
We also included a Google Adsense module (so that advertising revenue can partially offset the site hosting costs).  And like all SpringHill sites, we concentrated on search engine optimization by including search-engine-friendly URLs, a complete system of page titles and meta tags, and dynamic site maps to ensure excellent rankings with the search engines.
