There was a time not long ago (for some people, perhaps still today) when even making simple changes to a website required detailed coding skills. And for most people who are already busy with the never-ending demands of running an organization, it was not worth the time and effort required to learn new and potentially-complicated coding skill sets. So as a result, they were at the mercy of their consultants whenever they needed to update their website content. And it can be understandably frustrating when time-sensitive updates are delayed by the consultant’s busy schedule or when a small update results in a large invoice. It would be so much easier – and less expensive – if you could make some of these updates yourself. Well guess what…you can! In fact, that is the whole point of the ‘Joomla!’ content management system. Joomla!’s wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) editor screens, database-driven directories, and template-driven delivery systems enable anyone with internet access and sufficient user privileges to create and update content without knowing any html, java, PHP, or other coding languages. Yes, there is a learning curve required in order to create professional sites using ‘Joomla!’ (that is where we come into play). But once the content directories, menu structures, and template designs are complete, it is very easy for anyone to create and update the content of their own ‘Joomla!’ site. |

"... a quick shout-out to my friends, John and Jen at Springhill Interactive Media, who have helped educate and guide me through the website building process. Any cool stuff you see that works [at zencycle.com] is a result of their expertise." - Mark Windle, Zencycle.com |
