There was a time not long ago (for some people, perhaps still today) when even making simple changes to a website required detailed coding skills. And for most people who are already busy with the never-ending demands of running an organization, it was not worth the time and effort required to learn new and potentially-complicated coding skill sets. So as a result, they were at the mercy of their consultants whenever they needed to update their website content. And it can be understandably frustrating when time-sensitive updates are delayed by the consultant’s busy schedule or when a small update results in a large invoice.
It would be so much easier – and less expensive – if you could make some of these updates yourself.
Well guess what…you can! In fact, that is the whole point of the ‘Joomla!’ content management system. |
